About Us

Belles & Beaus is a dedicated two-person team with a wealth of industry, events, and wedding experience. Founded in 2018 by Jan, who took the plunge into self-employment by acquiring the successful vintage hire business Loulou Loves, the company has since grown and evolved. The name change to Belles & Beaus, inspired by Jan’s and her daughter’s beloved horses, Belle and Beau, reflects a more personal touch. Pronounced “Bells and Bows,” it plays on the wedding bells and bows theme. The logo, featuring two swans in a heart shape, symbolises eternal love, inspired by Jan’s romantic trips to Lovers Bridge in Bruges with her husband Martin, who proposed to her there in 2015.

About Jan: Married to her beau Martin since 2016, Jan is an avid scuba diver and conservationist. With four children between them, they enjoy outdoor sports like paddleboarding, camping, horse riding, and dog walking. When not creating magic at events, Jan spends time with her three horses and two dogs. With a background as an Events Manager and Wedding Coordinator for 17 years, Jan brings a dynamic, creative, and bubbly personality to ensure your big day is stress-free and bespoke.

About Nigel: Nigel, married to his belle Jen, enjoys beach walks with their Welsh Terrier Hattie and gardening. With over 35 years in the events industry, Nigel is the technical guru at Belles & Beaus. He brings extensive experience from the Rock & Roll scene and offers expertise in architectural lighting, power distribution, and health & safety. Nigel’s fully equipped manufacturing workshop allows for the creation of custom pieces for your wedding, meaning no job is too small.
